Mongolia 50 TPD Pharmaceutical Washing + Domestic Wastewater Treatment Project
A facility in Mongolia needed to treat 50 tons per day of combined pharmaceutical washing wastewater and domestic sewage. Baihuipu supplied a compact treatment plant with chemical pre-treatment, biological treatment, and tertiary polishing to meet local discharge limits.
Combined Wastewater Challenge
Pharmaceutical washing water contains active-ingredient residues, solvents, surfactants, and variable pH.
Domestic sewage contributes ammonia, organic matter, and pathogens. For the reuse angle specifically, TDS, Reagents and Return Brine goes further than we can here.
The combined stream requires a robust process that can handle fluctuating loads and contaminants.

Treatment Process
The system uses equalization, pH neutralization, and chemical coagulation as the first stage.
An anoxic/aerobic biological stage removes COD, BOD, and nitrogen. For the reuse angle specifically, Explosives Manufacturing Wastewater Treatment system goes further than we can here.

Final polishing uses multimedia filtration and activated carbon to capture residual traces.
Equipment Supplied
Baihuipu provided reaction tanks, a clarifier, biological tanks, filters, carbon vessels, and a UV disinfection unit.
Chemical dosing skids include pH adjustment, coagulant, flocculant, and nutrient feed systems.
Numbers from Comparable Installations
For comparison, our 2022 project in Guangzhou, Guangdong ran at 200 m³/day with influent COD near 5,000 mg/L and treated water around 90 mg/L. That is 98.2% removal in practice, not on paper.
| Location | Year | Flow | Feed COD | Treated COD | Removal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Guangzhou, Guangdong | 2022 | 200 m³/d | 5,000 mg/L | 90 mg/L | 98.2% |
Figures are site-measured values from commissioned plants, not modelled estimates.

A small blower house and control shelter were included for the cold Mongolian climate.
Cold-Climate Considerations
Equipment and piping were insulated to protect biological activity during winter.

The control shelter is heated and ventilated to protect instruments and dosing pumps.
Operation manuals include cold-weather startup and shutdown procedures.
The plant achieved stable effluent quality despite wide influent variations. If your site also runs this kind of duty, Chloride, Silanols and Emulsions covers the cost side of the decision in more depth.

Local operators were trained to manage chemical dosing and biological sludge levels.
Baihuipu's Mongolia project proves the adaptability of its packaged treatment systems to harsh climates.
Why Choose Baihuipu as Your Manufacturer
Picking a supplier for this kind of plant is mostly about who carries the risk when something goes wrong. We have built this equipment for more than twenty years, and we are the ones who fabricated it, programmed the controls and will still answer the phone three years from now.
In-House Fabrication
Our Guangdong works produces everything from standard modular units to fully bespoke lines. Building in-house keeps cost, schedule and quality under our own control rather than a subcontractor's goodwill.
Documentation You Can Actually Audit
Each system ships with as-built drawings, material certificates, welding records and a functional specification. If a client's own consultant wants to review the process calculation basis, we hand it over rather than treating it as proprietary.
Twenty-Plus Export Markets
We have shipped to the United States, Canada, Russia, Indonesia, India, Nigeria and Vietnam among others. Crating, export documentation and certificates are handled in-house, which keeps customs surprises to a minimum.
20+ Years Across Dozens of Industries
Experience matters most when your waste stream behaves nothing like the textbook example. We have dealt with toxic organics, heavy metals, extreme salinity and refractory COD in food processing, chemical manufacturing, electroplating, mining and municipal projects.
Certification and Export Practice
CE marking is standard and we work to ISO 9001 procedures. Where a project calls for specific material grades, pressure vessel certification or ATEX-rated equipment, we build to that standard and ship the full documentation pack.
We Engineer the Whole Train
Screening, equalisation, biological or chemical treatment, membranes, evaporation, brine handling — the complete line comes from one organisation. Process design, mechanical, electrical and PLC programming sit under the same roof, so there is no gap for finger-pointing at handover.
Spare Parts and After-Sales Support
We carry membranes, pumps, blowers, diffusers and instruments for every system we supply. Remote support through the PLC is standard on most builds, and on-site service covers commissioning, training and urgent callouts.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do you handle installation and operator training?
Every unit we supply is commissioned by our own engineers. Training happens on site with your actual operators, and the O&M manual covers routine work plus troubleshooting. Remote diagnostics through the control system are included for the first year.
Which discharge standard will the treated water meet?
We design against whatever consent applies at your boundary — GB 8978, local sewer limits, or a ZLD target with no liquid discharge at all. The design basis is agreed in writing before fabrication, so there is no argument later about what "compliant" meant.
Can you work with our existing equipment?
Often yes. We regularly integrate into existing civil structures where the concrete is sound, replacing internals and controls rather than starting over. We will tell you honestly when legacy kit is beyond economic repair.
How much operator attention does the system need day to day?
Automatic control handles dosing, backwash and level control. Realistically your team spends time on chemical top-up, sample testing and sludge handling — maybe one to two hours per shift on pharmaceutical washing 50tpd duty, less if you opt for remote monitoring.
What treatment capacity do you normally design for pharmaceutical washing 50tpd?
Skid-mounted units cover roughly 42 to 1122 m³/day depending on the duty, and parallel trains extend that further. We size against your actual peak hour flow rather than the daily average, because equalisation rarely absorbs the whole spike.
