Dongguan Borun Tank Fabrication Project for Wastewater Treatment Systems
Dongguan Borun needed robust tanks and structural components for an industrial wastewater treatment system. Baihuipu fabricated carbon-steel and stainless-steel tanks, performed surface treatment, and delivered the complete skid to the customer's site. This project highlights our in-house metalworking capacity and quality control for fabricated treatment equipment.
Project Overview: Custom Tank Fabrication for Wastewater Systems
Dongguan Borun's project required multiple tanks for equalization, flocculation, and sludge holding within an industrial wastewater treatment train.
Baihuipu prepared detailed fabrication drawings, selected corrosion-resistant materials, and cut, formed, welded, and surface-treated every tank in our own workshop.
Each vessel was hydro-tested before shipment to ensure weld integrity and leak-free operation.

Scope of Supply
The scope included reaction tanks, settling tank internals, sludge holding tanks, piping manifolds, and platform supports.
All carbon-steel surfaces received anti-corrosion coating, while stainless-steel tanks were passivated to remove welding oxides.

Lifting lugs, access manways, and nozzle orientations were customized to match the downstream installation layout. Much of this mirrors the situation set out in Tailings and Fines.
Plate cutting was performed by CNC plasma and shearing to achieve accurate dimensions for every shell course. For the reuse angle specifically, Aircraft MRO Facility effluent goes further than we can here.
Welding followed WPS/PQR procedures with certified welders; seams were visually inspected and dye-penetrant tested where required.

Final assembly included alignment checks, internal cleaning, and protective wrapping for safe road transport.
Reference Data from 42 Commissioned Plants
Across 42 commissioned plants where we hold complete COD records, influent COD ranged from 200 to 172,000 mg/L and treated effluent from 50 to 5,000 mg/L. Average removal across that set is 87.1% — not a marketing figure, but the measured mean.
That average is worth pausing on. It sits well below the 95%-plus numbers most suppliers quote, because the set includes genuinely difficult streams. On some electroplating and municipal duties the installed configuration only reaches about half the influent COD, and saying that up front is more use to you than a number the plant will never hold.
| Metric | Measured value |
|---|---|
| Plants with complete COD records | 42 |
| Influent COD range | 200 – 172,000 mg/L |
| Treated COD range | 50 – 5,000 mg/L |

| Average treated COD | 264 mg/L |
| Average COD removal | 87.1% |
| Wastewater types covered | 30+ |
| Delivery period on record | 2021–2022 |
On-Site Delivery and Installation Support
Tanks were loaded in sequence to match the customer's civil foundation layout and minimize on-site handling. For the reuse angle specifically, Coal Gasification and Syngas Plant effluent goes further than we can here.

Baihuipu provided lifting diagrams, bolt-torque values, and piping interface drawings to support the installation contractor.
Remote technical guidance was available throughout the mechanical completion stage. If your site also runs this kind of duty, Waste Oil Re-refining Plant Wastewater Treatment system covers the cost side of the decision in more depth.
Results and Customer Feedback
All fabricated tanks met the dimensional and coating specifications defined in the purchase order.

The customer reported no leaks or rework during hydro testing and commended the on-time delivery.
This project reinforces Baihuipu's capability to supply both standard and custom tanks for water and wastewater applications.
Why Choose Baihuipu as Your Manufacturer
Two decades in this industry teaches you that most treatment problems are procurement problems in disguise. Someone bought the cheapest skid, nobody checked the equalisation volume, and eighteen months on the plant cannot hold its consent limit. We build differently.
Manufacturing Base in Guangdong
Owned production lines mean we control tolerances, materials and delivery. Standard modular units and bespoke skids are both built by our own people, so schedule commitments are ours to keep.
Certification and Export Practice
CE marking is standard and we work to ISO 9001 procedures. Where a project calls for specific material grades, pressure vessel certification or ATEX-rated equipment, we build to that standard and ship the full documentation pack.
20+ Years Across Dozens of Industries
Experience matters most when your waste stream behaves nothing like the textbook example. We have dealt with toxic organics, heavy metals, extreme salinity and refractory COD in food processing, chemical manufacturing, electroplating, mining and municipal projects.
Complete System Responsibility
One supplier, one process guarantee. We take the plant from preliminary screening through to membrane separation, evaporation and brine management, with process, mechanical, electrical and controls engineering handled internally.
Spare Parts and After-Sales Support
We carry membranes, pumps, blowers, diffusers and instruments for every system we supply. Remote support through the PLC is standard on most builds, and on-site service covers commissioning, training and urgent callouts.
Twenty-Plus Export Markets
We have shipped to the United States, Canada, Russia, Indonesia, India, Nigeria and Vietnam among others. Crating, export documentation and certificates are handled in-house, which keeps customs surprises to a minimum.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can the plant be modified later if our production changes?
Yes, if you tell us about likely expansion up front. Leaving room in the civil works and oversizing the equalisation tank costs far less than retrofitting later. Dongguan Borun Tank Fabrication Project for Wastewater Treatment Systems rarely fails because of bad chemistry — it usually fails because nobody planned for the second production line.
Do you handle installation and operator training?
Every unit we supply is commissioned by our own engineers. Training happens on site with your actual operators, and the O&M manual covers routine work plus troubleshooting. Remote diagnostics through the control system are included for the first year.
How long does a industrial tank fabrication system take to deliver?
Standard units ship in about 10 to 13 weeks. Custom trains with scope of supply included run longer — plan for 14 to 25 weeks once detailed engineering starts. Site installation and wet commissioning add another few weeks.
How much operator attention does the system need day to day?
Automatic control handles dosing, backwash and level control. Realistically your team spends time on chemical top-up, sample testing and sludge handling — maybe one to two hours per shift on industrial tank fabrication duty, less if you opt for remote monitoring.
Which discharge standard will the treated water meet?
We design against whatever consent applies at your boundary — GB 8978, local sewer limits, or a ZLD target with no liquid discharge at all. The design basis is agreed in writing before fabrication, so there is no argument later about what "compliant" meant.
