High-efficiency electrophoresis wastewater treatment equipment, solving environmental problems in the coating industry

Why has the treatment of electrophoretic wastewater become a "critical bottleneck" in the coating line?

In the metal surface treatment and coating industry, the rinsing of workpieces after electrophoretic processing generates a large amount of complex-component electrophoretic wastewater. This type of wastewater contains unset electrophoretic paint resin, pigments, solvents (such as alcohols and ethers), as well as heavy metal ions. It exhibits characteristics such as high COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), high color, oil content, and poor biodegradability. Traditional methods are difficult to effectively treat it, and direct discharge will cause severe pollution to the environment and pose environmental protection risks for enterprises.

Selecting an efficient, stable and professional electrophoresis wastewater treatment equipment is the key to achieving environmental compliance and ensuring sustainable production.

The core treatment process specifically designed for electrophoresis wastewater

Our electrophoresis wastewater treatment system is not a simple application of general equipment, but an integrated solution that has been deeply developed based on the specific water quality characteristics. The core processes typically include:

1. Pre-treatment stage: Desliming and coagulation

Precise demulsification: By adding a specific demulsifier, the stability of the colloidal particles in the wastewater is disrupted, causing the fine paint residues and resins to lose their stability and aggregate, thus creating conditions for subsequent separation.

Efficient coagulation and flocculation: Under the action of coagulants and flocculants, the destabilized tiny particles are aggregated into dense and large flocs, significantly enhancing the sedimentation efficiency.

2. Core separation stage: Solid-liquid separation

Inclined plate sedimentation/aerated flotation process: Utilizing efficient sedimentation tanks or dissolved air flotation machines, the flocs (sludge) formed after coagulation are rapidly separated from the water. The aerated flotation process is particularly effective in removing lightweight and fine particles.

Sludge dewatering: The separated paint residue is sent to the sludge concentration tank, and then undergoes dewatering through equipment such as plate and frame filter presses, forming dry sludge cakes which are transported out. The filtrate is returned to the system for further treatment.

3. Advanced treatment and biochemical stage: Removal of COD

Biochemical treatment system: After physical-chemical pre-treatment, the biodegradability of the wastewater has been improved. We employ mature biochemical processes (such as A/O method, MBR membrane bioreactor), utilizing microbial communities to effectively degrade the residual dissolved organic matter in the water, ensuring that the COD indicator is stably met the standards.

Advanced oxidation (optional): For higher standards of emissions or reuse requirements, advanced oxidation equipment can be integrated to completely decompose difficult-to-biodegrade organic substances.

The outstanding advantages of our electrophoresis wastewater treatment equipment

Highly targeted: The process design directly addresses the core problems of high COD and high coloration in electrophoretic wastewater, as well as its difficulty in being biodegraded.

Stable effluent: Multi-stage treatment units ensure stability. It has strong resistance to shock loads and the effluent is clear. All indicators (COD, SS, heavy metals, etc.) consistently meet the "Integrated Wastewater Discharge Standard" (GB8978-1996) or local standards.

Automated operation: Equipped with a PLC intelligent control system, it enables the automation of pH regulation, drug addition, and sludge discharge. The operation is simple, reducing labor costs and operational risks.

Operational Economy: The optimized dosing plan of chemicals and the efficient sludge dewatering system have effectively reduced the daily operating costs and hazardous waste disposal expenses.
