Solution One: Pure Water Supply System for Power Plant Boilers in Africa
Challenge: Power plant boilers have extremely high requirements for the purity of feed water. Water quality that does not meet standards can lead to scaling, corrosion, and even the risk of shutdown and explosion. Local water sources in Africa may contain high levels of impurities, which imposes strict requirements on the pretreatment process of the system.
BWT Solution:
The reliable pretreatment process adopts "multi-media filtration + activated carbon filtration + security filtration" to remove particles, colloids, and organic matter.
The core desalination process uses "reverse osmosis (RO) + electro-deionization (EDI)" or "reverse osmosis (RO) + mixed bed (MB)" to produce high-purity water with a resistivity of up to 10-18.25 MΩ·cm, which fully meets the requirements of high-pressure boilers.
The system operates fully automatically and is equipped with automatic flushing and chemical cleaning functions to ensure long-term stability.
Success Story: BWT provided a 2×100m³/h boiler feed water system for a combined cycle power plant project in Angola. Since its commissioning in 2019, it has been operating stably, providing a solid guarantee for the reliable operation of the units.
Solution Two: Water Purification System for African Bottled Water/Beverage Plants
Challenge: The raw water for bottled water must meet the standards of WHO, Codex, and local drinking water. The water for beverages should be colorless, odorless, free of impurities, and have strict control over bacterial indicators.
Baihui Pu Solution:
Based on the quality of the raw water, a design of "quartz sand filtration + activated carbon adsorption + precision filtration" is adopted to remove odor, color, and particles.
The "reverse osmosis (RO) technology" is used to effectively remove ions, heavy metals, viruses, and bacteria in the water, with a desalination rate of over 98%.
Subsequently, a UV sterilizer or ozone generator is used for aseptic disinfection to ensure the biological safety of the finished water.
All system materials are made of food-grade stainless steel, meeting hygiene standards.
