Project Challenges: 

The desulfurization wastewater from this power plant has the characteristics of complex water quality, extremely high salt content (TDS > 50,000 mg/L), high levels of chloride ions and heavy metals, and significant fluctuations. The original treatment method is costly, generates a large amount of hazardous waste sludge, and cannot achieve true "zero discharge". The environmental compliance pressure is extremely high.

The environmental protection team of Baohupu conducted a thorough analysis of the water quality characteristics and, in combination with the actual needs of the power plant, tailored a mature, reliable and economically optimal technology route for the zero discharge transformation of desulfurization wastewater: 

Deep pre-treatment enhancement: Utilizing an efficient chemical softening process combined with tubular microfiltration/ultrafiltration (TMF/UF) technology, calcium, magnesium, silicon, suspended solids, and some heavy metals are precisely removed, significantly reducing the risk of subsequent membrane scaling and contamination, laying the foundation for the stable operation of the membrane concentration system. 

2. Efficient membrane cascade concentration: The core technology employs the high-pressure reverse osmosis (HPRO) + disc-tube reverse osmosis (DTRO) combined process developed by Baohupu Environmental Optimization. This enables high-scale concentration of wastewater (>90% recovery rate), significantly reduces the volume of waste, and markedly lowers the processing load and energy consumption of the evaporation crystallization unit. 

3. Key Point: Evaporation and Crystallization for Salt Separation: For the concentrated high-concentration brine, the mature mechanical vapor recompression (MVR) evaporation and crystallization technology is adopted. The unique advantage of Baohupu Environmental Protection in this stage lies in integrating advanced salt separation and crystallization processes, successfully separating and purifying sodium sulfate and sodium chloride from the wastewater, obtaining crystalline salt products of sodium sulfate (Na₂SO₄) and sodium chloride (NaCl) that meet industrial standards, truly achieving the goal of "transforming waste into resources". The amount of impurities is minimized.
