How to deal with low efficiency of three effect evaporator

      When the efficiency of the three effect evaporator is low, it can be addressed from the following aspects:

      1、 Regular cleaning

      1. Cleaning the evaporator: During use, the evaporator is prone to scaling due to solute adhesion to the heating surface, which can reduce heat transfer efficiency. Therefore, regular cleaning of the evaporator, including the evaporator itself, heating tubes, preheaters, and other components, can remove scale and improve heat transfer efficiency, thereby increasing the efficiency of the evaporator. The cleaning method can be selected as shutdown cleaning or online cleaning, according to actual needs.

      2. Cleaning the condenser: The condenser is a key component that affects the vacuum degree and evaporation capacity of the evaporator. If the heat transfer effect of the condenser is poor, it will lead to an increase in non condensable gases, an increase in vacuum pump pressure, and a decrease in vacuum degree. Therefore, regularly cleaning the pipes of the condenser to remove scale can improve heat transfer efficiency and thus enhance the efficiency of the evaporator.

    II. Optimize operating conditions

      1. Adjust steam pressure: Steam pressure is an important factor affecting the efficiency of the evaporator. Excessive or insufficient steam pressure can affect the evaporation capacity of the evaporator. Therefore, it is necessary to adjust the steam pressure according to the actual situation to maintain it within the optimal range.

      2. Improve the efficiency of the separator: Installing a demister on the separator can prevent the liquid from entering the secondary gas, polluting the condensed water of the gas, and reducing the heat content of the secondary gas. This can improve the efficiency of the separator, allowing more steam to be condensed, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the evaporator.

      3、 Utilize auxiliary equipment

      1. Adding a heat exchanger: Adding a tube heat exchanger or plate heat exchanger to the three effect evaporator system can increase the effective temperature of the mother liquor wastewater entering the first effect evaporator, thereby reducing air consumption and improving the efficiency of the evaporator.

      2. Use soft water to cool the vacuum pump: Using soft water as the cooling water for the vacuum pump can reduce the generation of scale, lower maintenance costs, maintain the good working condition of the evaporator, and indirectly improve the efficiency of the evaporator.

      4、 Improve material properties

      1. Adjust material composition: The composition of the material will affect the design and operation of the evaporator. If the composition of the material is prone to scaling or foaming, high organic content, and excessive concentration enrichment, it will lead to a decrease in the evaporation capacity of the evaporator. Therefore, the impact of these adverse factors can be reduced by adjusting the material composition.

      2. Reduce COD content: With the continuous operation of the evaporator system, excessive COD will lead to a decrease in the evaporation capacity of the evaporator. Therefore, measures need to be taken to reduce COD content in order to improve the efficiency of the evaporator.

      5、 Strengthen maintenance and monitoring

      1. Regular inspection and maintenance: Conduct a comprehensive inspection and maintenance of the evaporator system on a regular basis, including checking the wear and tear of each component, the looseness of fasteners, sealing performance, etc., to ensure that the system is in good working condition.

      2. Installation of monitoring equipment: Install monitoring equipment in the evaporator system, such as temperature sensors, pressure sensors, flow sensors, etc., to monitor the operating status and parameter changes of the system in real time, detect and solve problems in a timely manner.

      To address the issue of low efficiency in triple effect evaporators, multiple approaches are needed, including regular cleaning, optimizing operating conditions, utilizing auxiliary equipment, improving material properties, and strengthening maintenance and monitoring. By implementing these measures, the efficiency of the evaporator can be effectively improved, operating costs can be reduced, and economic benefits can be enhanced.
