There are several ways to improve the efficiency of a three effect evaporator, including:
1、 Regular cleaning
1. Cleaning the evaporator: During the use of the evaporator, solutes may adhere to the heating surface, producing scale and reducing heat transfer efficiency. Therefore, regular cleaning of the evaporator can remove scale and improve heat transfer efficiency, thereby increasing the efficiency of the evaporator.
2. Cleaning the condenser: The condenser uses cooling water to exchange heat with the steam produced by the three effects, causing the condensable steam to condense into liquid. If the heat transfer effect of the condenser is poor, it will lead to an increase in non condensable gases, an increase in vacuum pump pressure, and a decrease in vacuum degree. Regularly cleaning the pipes of the condenser can remove scale, improve heat transfer efficiency, and ultimately enhance the efficiency of the evaporator.

II. Utilizing Low Temperature Waste Heat
Effectively utilizing low-temperature waste heat can meet the needs of evaporators and improve their efficiency. This is because low-temperature waste heat can provide additional heat and promote the evaporation process.
3、 Clean foam
During evaporation, foam may be generated, and these foam will affect the heat transfer effect of the evaporator. Therefore, foam can be eliminated by adding demister or using defoamer. The selection of defoamers needs to fully consider the subsequent process to ensure that it will not have adverse effects on product quality. The elimination of foam can increase the heat transfer efficiency of the wall surface, reduce the flow resistance, and prevent the formation of dirt, thus improving the efficiency of the evaporator.
4、 Using soft water to cool the vacuum pump
After the cooling water of the vacuum pump enters the triple effect evaporation, it will form a vortex to generate suction, and then suck in the second gas. In liquid, a portion of the gas will be condensed, expelling some non condensable gases to improve the vacuum level of the evaporator. If tap water is used as the cooling water for a vacuum pump, the components contained in tap water will form scale in the secondary steam, which will adhere to the inner wall of the vacuum pump, directly affecting the efficiency of the evaporator and corroding the vacuum pump. Therefore, using soft water to cool the vacuum pump can reduce the generation of scale, lower maintenance costs, maintain the good working condition of the evaporator, and indirectly improve the efficiency of the evaporator.
5、 Improve separator efficiency
Installing a demister on the separator can prevent the feed liquid from entering the secondary gas, polluting the condensed water of the gas, and reducing the heat content of the secondary gas. This can improve the efficiency of the separator, allowing more steam to be condensed, thereby enhancing the overall efficiency of the evaporator.
6、 Reduce steam consumption
Adding a tube heat exchanger or plate heat exchanger to a three effect evaporator can increase the effective temperature of the mother liquor wastewater entering the first effect evaporator, thereby reducing air consumption. Reducing steam consumption can not only lower operating costs, but also improve the efficiency of the evaporator.
The efficiency of the three effect evaporator can be effectively improved by regular cleaning, using low-temperature waste heat, cleaning foam, using soft water to cool the vacuum pump, improving separator efficiency and reducing steam consumption.
